Occupation cards sorting

 

Objective

  • To increase the range and quality of information about self and specific occupations
  • To expand or narrow the range of occupations being considered
  • To encourage self and career exploration further 

Steps of the activity

  1. Master trainer will explain the objectives of the session.
  2. Divide the participants into groups of five or six (approximately) based on the number of students in the class.
  3. Master trainer will explain how to do the activity.
  4. Master trainer will explain how to conduct the first student's card sorting.
  5. Master trainer will instruct to conduct the first student's analysis with group members.
  6. Master trainer will instruct to conduct other members' card sorting and analysis by themselves.
  7. Master trainer will guide the participants to fill in the activity format given in the end of the session.
  8. Get observation/ feedback from participants.
