<Update and diversify beauty skills>

Sumaira's goal is to start her own beauty salon at home. 12 years ago, she took a 3-month training course, but it was so long ago that she needed to update her skills. Then she attended a 3-month beauty course at an external training institute (KMA), supported by Light-F. She has provided irregularly small beauty services such as threading and cleansing, but the services she could offer were limited. During this training, she learned many new skills, including hair treatments, hair extensions, hair coloring, and hair and makeup application for weddings.

<Aiming to Increase regular income>

In fact, Sumaira has been teaching sewing to neighborhood girls for some time, and she aims to increase her regular income by combining her sewing classes with beauty classes. The broad range of beauty skills she has learned during the training of KMA has given her the confidence to teach the neighborhood girls. Sumaira's anticipated regular income looks like this.

Her beauty salon does not yet have regular customers, so for the time being, Sumaira is willing to increase customers while earning a regular income by operating classes. It is encouraging to see how she is trying to start her business little by little, starting from where he can. She has decided to name her beauty salon "Al Kausar" after her mother.

<Life changes due to commuting to school for training>

Since her father's death, her mother has relied on Sumaira, her eldest daughter, and wanted her to be always by her side. Therefore, when Ms. Sumaira decided to go to the 3-month training at KMA, she was not very supportive, saying that Sumaira did not have time for that. However, Sumaira has changed to be more conscious of time management to balance her daily commute and household chores. She used to go shopping every day, but she is now able to be more time-conscious, for example, by doing her shopping in bulk once a week. Her mother has also become accustomed to the fact that Sumaira is away at school and has started to take care of the house herself. Sumaira told us that for women who have never commuted to school or work before, not only the content of the training but also the fact that she goes to the training every day has a significant impact on their life.
